We can provide a list of suppliers for items such as monopiles, transition pieces, jackets, pin piles, secondary steel, and davit cranes. We can bring in suppliers with a well-known market reputation, as well as potential fabricators that can provide added value, such as local content.

We can guide you in the technical capabilities assessment process or conduct it on behalf of an investor or developer. The assessment will cover procurement and project management, materials and finished product management, fabrication capabilities, quality assurance, and more. It will identify bottlenecks and assess risks and opportunities in the fabrication process.

EPCI or T&I contractors play a critical role in the project execution. We are happy to provide a list of potential players for your consideration.

The design of welded steel structures such as offshore wind farm (OWF) foundations, with the specifications and Employer Requirements play a crucial role in the success of a project. Incorrect design assumptions or overly demanding requirements may have a direct impact on the fabrication and transport & installation (T&I) of components and can lead to increased costs and timeline delays.

We understand the consequences of non-optimal design and demanding Employer Requirements, which is why we offer a comprehensive OWF foundation design review to help you avoid these pitfalls. Our review process includes identifying potential design issues, checking for fabrication and T&I feasibility, confirming compliance with design and fabrication standards, and identifying opportunities for cost reduction through design optimizations and value engineering.

Our Employer Requirements review covers assessment of the scope of work, confirmation of compliance with relevant standards, and identification of any conflicting requirements that may create undesirable issues during the execution process. 

Our goal is to help you achieve cost reduction in CAPEX, OPEX, and TCO by identifying potential optimizations, improvements, and value engineering opportunities in the design and requirements.

A successful tendering process requires not just a thorough understanding of procurement and tendering, but also a combination of engineering expertise, commercial acumen, and strategic thinking. We offer this unique blend of skills and experience to help you find the right sourcing strategy that balances the advantages and disadvantages of multi-contracting and EPCI, as well as lump-sum and transparent approaches.

We will manage the competitive tendering process on your behalf, from the NDA to the contract award, with a focus on the following key tasks:

• Strategic planning, leadership, and management of competitive tendering for EPCI projects, using either multi-contracting or EPCI contracting approaches.

• Budgeting and early planning for the procurement of steel foundations and related components for offshore wind farms.

• Preparation of ITT and related packages containing technical, commercial, and contractual documentation.

• Analysis of tenders, in collaboration with related discipline experts, to evaluate commercial, contractual, technical, and project planning compliance, including risks and opportunities.

• Leading clarification processes to address commercial, technical, and program aspects of tenders, both indirectly and face-to-face.

• Supporting the ORM process, which includes procurement as well as related disciplines such as design, fabrication, transport, and others.

• Preparing a tender evaluation report and providing recommendations to management and the project team.

• Leading and managing contractual negotiations overseeing commercial, technical, quality, compliance, and risk aspects of the tendering process.

• Preparing a contractual package that includes acceptable comments on contractual conditions and preparation of contractual schedules.

• Organizing, managing, and participating in the Lesson Learnt process from recording to implementation in the post-tendering phase.

We understand that project execution is a complex process and requires the support of a highly experienced and dedicated team. Our team of experts has extensive experience in fabrication supervision, quality assurance as well as project management, and we are committed to ensuring that your project is executed successfully.

Our support during the project execution process will include:

• Organizing and leading kick-off meetings with contractors, fabricators, and suppliers.

• Reviewing and assessing pre-fabrication and as-built documentation for compliance with design & specifications, Employer Requirements, and applicable standards.

• Participating in the management of quality assurance including QC, TQs, NCRs, and progress reporting processes

• Reviewing and assessing the fabrication yard certification as well as welding and painting personnel qualifications

• Providing contractual and commercial recommendations and suggestions for claims management

Our on-site presence will include:

• Continuous supervision of the work progress and QA/QC processes

• Inspection of parent materials and consumables and verification of material certificates

  • • Supervision of the qualification of WPQT welding technology along with the required NDT and DT tests.

    • Inspection of parent materials and consumables as well as verification of related material certificates

    • Supervision of the welding process in line with DNV-OS-C401, AWS-D1.1, EN ISO 3834 and related standards

    • Supervision of weld NDT execution in accordance with international standards (such as EN ISO 17635 and DNVGL-CG-0051 and others).

    • Participation in dimensional inspections and supervision of work execution completeness

    • Supervision of the corrosion protection process in line with ISO 12944, Norsok M-501, including painting materials and equipment, steel surface preparation, and paint application. Corrosion protection inspections are carried out by personel qualified to FROSIO III, NACE CIP III, and GWO.

    • Overall quality checks and preparation of inspection reports or NCRs, along with assistance in the RCA process and supervision of corrective actions and preventive measures implementation

    • Supervision of the load-out process and preparation for shipment

In addition, we can support projects in the Project Cost Control process, providing project cost performance analysis, effective and compliant cost attribution, financial control, and reporting covering budgeting, forecasting, accruals, journals, and cash flow monitoring, as well as managing payment claims and budget cost variations.
