Konrad is a highly experienced procurement professional with over 19 years of experience in heavy industry, and more than 15 years of experience gained in the UK and Luxembourg in strategic sourcing for EPCI projects, including offshore wind farms (OWF). He has expertise in managing project procurement teams and procurement processes for orders with a value exceeding €750 million.
Konrad holds an MSc in Mechanical Engineering from Rzeszow University of Technology, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Aeronautics, and an HNC in Business from Belfast Metropolitan College. He has taken several professional courses, including the International Project Management Certification with IPMA as well as the FIDIC Contracts Management and Administration Certificate, FIDIC Conditions of Contract for Design, Build & Operate Projects (the “DBO Contract”) 2008 Ed., and FIDIC Claims and Disputes.
Before establishing the KJG Services, Konrad was working for DEME Offshore Procurement & Shipping in Luxembourg for over 5 years as a Tender Package Manager for offshore wind foundations and a Category Manager for Turnkey Equipment required for the T&I phase of OWF projects.
In his earlier career, Konrad played a leading role in simultaneous management of numerous steel fabrication projects as a successful Project Manager in Mostostal Siedlce, Poland, and later as a procurement professional in Howden UK being responsible for cradle-to-grave outsourcing of industrial fan casings and rotary heat exchangers.
Konrad has managed competitive tendering procurement processes for multiple OWF projects while working for DEME, including the Moray East OWF and Seagreen OWF projects. He also led the complex procurement and supply process for the Lynemouth BioMass Conversion Project while working for Doosan Babcock in the UK (now Altrad Babcock) as a Project Procurement Manager.
With his extensive knowledge and can-do attitude, Konrad now offers the market his expertise in tendering, purchasing, and managing subcontract projects for various equipment in the power generation sector. His first assignment relates to the Main Bearing Large Corrective Campaign for Senvion Wind Turbines at Trianel Windkraftwerk Borkum II GmbH & Co.
Konrad is also the General Manager of KJG Services.
